Upon entering our office, a member of our staff will greet and welcome you. Once you settle in, we will request that you complete a brief health history questionnaire and detailed explanation of your problem. This will allow Dr. Frank Sessa to understand your background and the nature of your problem more thoroughly.
Consultation and Wellness Screening
Once you have completed the intake forms, Dr. Frank Sessa will meet with you to review your health history, discuss the problem you are experiencing and conduct an overall health and wellness screening. This will allow Dr. Frank Sessa to become more familiar with your problem and allow him to decide what type of care plan is best for you.
After the consultation and with your consent, Dr. Frank Sessa will perform a thorough, detailed chiropractic examination consisting of range of motion analysis, orthopedic/neurological examination, soft tissue and posture analysis.
After the examination is completed, Dr. Frank Sessa will determine if x-rays are needed. X-rays can help diagnose problems with the spine such as arthritis and scoliosis and rule out serious problems like infection and cancer.
Report of Findings-Diagnosis
After all of the information is collected, Dr. Frank Sessa will review the results of the examination with you, diagnose your problem and discuss with you; treatment options, how long it will take for you to recover from your problem and how much your treatment will cost.
Following the report of findings on your initial visit, you will be given the option of receiving treatment. Treatment is always specific to each patient because every problem is unique. Dr. Frank Sessa will design a treatment plan specific to your needs and goals. Treatment plans may consist of a combination of chiropractic adjustments, Active Release Techniques®, physical therapy, spinal corrective therapeutic exercises, electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold therapy and neuromuscular reeducation.
To help ease your pain and accelerate recovery time, Dr. Frank Sessa will recommend home exercises specific to your problem. It is essential for you to take this aspect of your care very seriously. Chiropractic care is a partnership. Without your participation it will take longer and your results will be short-lived.
